Mobile Phase Sparge Filters. Restek. The sparge filter is an inexpensive way to prepare and maintain mobile phases free of dissolved gas. Filters are made from 316 stainless steel and PEEK, and they are compatible with most solvents. Connects to standard 1/8" OD (3.2 mm) PTFE tubing.

PTFE membrane can withstand temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). PTFE membrane filters also are useful in high humidity environments. When moisture enters into a gas stream, it often times causes dust particles to become “sticky” and form agglomeration, which is a serious operational problem in many dust collection systems.
