Generally, 0.45um is sufficient for the majority of procedures. However, where smaller particles may be present in the sample 0.2 um or 0.1 um might be more appropriate.

Minisart SRP: Ready-to-use units with a clean and chemically inert Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane for simple, rapid and reliable ultracleaning of small volume samples for HPLC or GC analysis. Provide superb chemical resistant for solvents or for aggressive aqueous liquids.

Particle removal Minisarts are available with pore sizes 0.45µm, 0.8µm, 1.2µm, 5µm and one with a glass fibre depth filter. They can also be used as a prefilter in combination with a 0.2µm Minisart, increasing the total filterable volume. Minisart+ units have a built in glass fibre prefilter which can often double the filterable volume.

Minisart® SRP with chemically inert hydrophobic PTFE is suitable for venting as well as harsh solvents with a pH of 1 - 14. Type 17575 with a pore size of 0.2 µm can be used for sample preparation and sterile filtration. It has a male luer slip outlet. Version K is a non-sterile pack of 50. Units can be sterilized by autoclaving or EO.

Minisart filters have a Luer Lock inlet and outlet, for positive attachment to the syringe. The filter is 26 mm in diameter with a hold-up volume of 0.1 mL. Suitable for clear aqueous solutions not requiring preliminary filtration.
